In 1993, the agribusiness started a new phase and began to produce crystal sugar. Goianésia Álcool S / A started to be called Jalles Machado S / A Açúcar e Álcool, a tribute of the shareholders of the company to Otávio Lage, putting the name of his father. The crystal sugar brand was named Itajá, an indigenous name of the first farm in which Jalles Machado settled in Goianésia with his sons.
In 2000, the company was a pioneer in Goiás in the cogeneration of energy from sugarcane bagasse and changes its name to Jalles Machado S / A. It was also the first company in the sugar and ethanol industry to sell Carbon Credits and in 2003 began to produce organic sugar, which today is one of its biggest differentials. Jalles Machado expanded its business and, in 2011, inaugurated the Otávio Lage Unit, also located in Goianésia.
Currently, Jalles Machado has its production of anhydrous ethanol, industrial and hydrated, conventional and organic sugar, hygiene and cleaning products, electric energy, yeast and growing latex every year. It also has several awards and certifications, which prove the quality of Itaja products, sold in the Brazilian market and exported to Europe, Japan, the United States, Canada, China and the Jewish and Muslim Communities.
Thus, the history of Jalles Machado is marked by pioneering. The company constantly invests in technology and innovation and is a reference in quality, respect for the environment and social responsibility. The main pillars are the valorization of the human being and the promotion of sustainable development.
